This post has been merged from a topic called 'Craig Shakespeare' by kenbarr Leicester have only won 1 of their last 11 league games and are in the relegation zone at present with less than a point a game so perhaps one can understand why action was taken.

I blame the foreign owners and investors that really know nothing about football for these sacking. They buy, invest in Premiership clubs because of the money involved and are all smiles when things go right, but get a down turn and they turn. No patience at all, football is all about mega transfers but I would love to know how much is paid out in compensation to these managers and staff. Just highlights how more money does not improve the premiership but ruins it. Foreign owners only see these sorts of revenues and the fact they keep increasing as investment vehicles Although the premiership is a huge global success and brand and pulls in huge revenues, we as a nation and fans do not benefit in the slightest, all that money is siphoned out by already wealthy owners, and foreign players. Nothing goes towards improving the game in this country or trickles down to the lower leagues

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Craig Shakespeare' by kenbarr The Palace fan who sat a few rows behind me in the Main Stand last season for the LCFC 2-2 ought to be pleased. He wasn't a Shakespeare fan. "Oi, Shakespeare, you f*cking fat c*nt!" was a particularly memorable interjection. Eddie Izzard a few seats across looked a bit perturbed at language not even the Bard would have used.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Nothing goes towards improving the game in this country or trickles down to the lower leagues What infuriates me is that despite all the money that goes into it, despite all we have to pay for TV subscriptions, despite all the technology available nowadays, we can't even watch the games. BT and Sky pay billions of pounds (passed on in the cost of their subscriptions) to carve up the rights to live Premiership matches between them, then choose about 15% of them to actually broadcast. You then can't watch any of the matches they don't favour without streaming it from abroad, going all round the houses to bypass their content controls, and breaking the law. It's absolutely pathetic. And these are big organisations so they have hard-wired business processes, staff who can't think outside their scripts, and would rather poke their eyes out with sticks than have a customer phone them up.

I thought that was because the beeb had the rights to show the highlights first?
