Is it me, or is every agent rushing to say their clients had there tits fondled. Or maybe, given the soul-crushing number of "Me Too" comments I've seen on social media, they all had their tits fondled.

I am going strange. I keep thinking of a charter flight from Tinsel Town to a place where anything can be fondled.

Met him on my way to work one morning walking his pooch outside the Old Vic. Never tried to assault me.

If that someone had been doing the same thing for 30 years to lots of different people and is finally caught and all the people around them knew what's happening but did nothing. Even when in 1978 you reported it and were not believed and told not to worry about it, to the point that you felt like it was just something you would have to put up with and endure. Then yeah....

It is the soul-crushing number of "Me Too" comments that is beginning to push my credibility. Yes I expect that there are many and serious claims which deserve a court airing, but..........in the rush to be a victim and join the club, anything seems to be classed as harassment, for example, the man who got a written warning for telling a woman she was looking good (Radio 5 monday). What actress would be applauding their agent for ATM stating "nobody ever tried it on with her".

What about someone who punched you in the face for no reason in 1978, do you want to go after him? Or the guy who stole your lunch money? Sure! As I said, all grievances on the table, we deal with the important ones first. I doubt we'd get to the punch or lunch money miscreants in my lifetime.

Never complimented a member of the opposite sex? Ever told a female colleague that she looks good today? Ever said that to a male colleague? See the problem? Approaching someone in a public setting (bar, club etc.) and throwing a line is not what's at issue here. It's throwing a line when the power dynamic is mismatched, like a boss to an employee or a producer to an actress. When you do that, you are walking a dangerous line where you may be, at best, belittling that person's value as a colleague because you are judging her appearance; at worse, you may make her feel threatened because she may just be creeped out by the fact you're looking at her that way. Simple rule of thumb: treat female colleagues, employees or anyone else you meet in a non-social situation as you would a man. Then, you will never have to worry that you've crossed the line into creeper territory. As a bonus, you'll get laughed at a lot less behind your back.
