The article is not reasonable or balanced. There are both pros and cons to privatisation - equating it to treason is laughable. There are plenty of valid, specific criticisms which could be made but the blatant bias ruined it imo.

But the crux of the piece about our national assets being sold off for a quick buck merits discussion. Edited by nickgusset (08 Oct 2017 6.23pm)

I had a look at your link, which is unusual for me, most of the time I ignore them (there are so many). The Yorkshire Blogger was good entertainment though. I particularly liked the bit at the end "If you vote Tory after reading this you'll be committing economic treason willingly and in full knowledge of what you're doing. Don't vote Tory. Another Angry Voice is a "Pay As You Feel" website. You can have access to all of my work for free, or you can choose to make a small donation to help me keep writing. The choice is entirely yours." It's hard to decide whether to make a donation. Is it worth it for the comedy value to 'help him keep writing' (tip: get a job, plenty around these days, try t'mill)
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |
