Great feedback - thank you to those concerned.

Any news re: Connor Wickham's chance to play soon by any chance?

Connor said he will be back when he feels like it, and even then it's highly likely he will only be back for between 3-5 games before picking up another injury..

He's still chuckling apparently at how much we paid for an injury prone striker and how much a week he's picking up...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

He wasn't injury prone until he joined us. I blame Parish

January apparently, but I'd imagine after over a year out he'll be out on loan. Plus his ability to shake off injuries is pretty much on a par with my ability to shag supermodels.

He seemed to have a few injuries at Sunderland. Its likely no one noticed someone there limping around the pitch though

Wickham's last long injury was when the squad wasn't fit enough under Pardew. There was definitely causes of injuries then. Then again after 4 pre season games this season.

Apart from a few months of Sam, the squad has been below required fitness since the cup final, again when our problems started adding together.

Instead of being a serious and professional prem outfit we'v gone back to being the old disorganised Palace, not really looking forward to much at matches.

Very much doubt Connor will be back in January.
Probably, more likely to feature again in March.

Anyone know how long he's got to go on his contract? I'd suggest any sort of renewal on a pay-to-play basis

To be out for this long Connor Wickham must have broken his neck, ripped out his spine or had an amputation of some sort? - I would presume - unless there is more to it than meets the eye.
