Like most Palace fans I wasn't over enamoured when he was given the job but was ready to give him my full support but after just 3 games he has become so negative. I thought what he said about Sako 'he's just a winger from Wolves' and even worse to say about a young player Ledapo 'he's never been near the first team he's only every scored non league goals. Talk about ruin a lads confidence these will almost certainly be our strikers for the next 2 months he should be building them up. The muppet sounds like he has thrown the towel in and just looking for excuses. Were you alive when Brian Clough was at his managerial peak?

If he didn't try that he may still be here and actually getting by and learning the league, rather than his arrogance suggesting he didn't need to.

Sure ... then we'll check to see whether Merlin or Gandalf are available. I'm really amazed at the level of expectation people have of a new manager who has so little that he can control. No pre-season, several key injuries, no access to the player market, just "Here's a cup of water - please go and put out the fires of Mordor".
As a kid in the mid-1950s, seeing the old floodlights from our kitchen window in Whitworth Road, the writing was on the wall. |

I'm concerned he may resign. He won't do that without even wilf back. If Benteke doesn't come back soon I wouldn't blame him. It's so stupid having 1 striker it's almost unbelievable.

I'm concerned he may resign. This exactly...!! Look who else would we get in the predicament that we are now - no-one of any calibre. We'd end up with Dougie as Manager and be on a way ticket to the Championship. Roy was appointed England Manager for a reason - he knows his stuff. OK he may not be the most glamorous or long term appointment but he and Ray Lew know what they are doing. Yes Parish is accountable for presiding over yet another summer transfer window of trying to be a "wheeler dealer" - came up woefully short again. But we are where we are - and more disruption is the last thing we need. I for one think Roy and Ray Lew will get it right, get us out of this mess once they have a fully fit squad to chose from and we will stay up. But then is the time to reflect and for soul searching questions - Parish are you really the person and/or have the resources and where with all to drive the club forward. I suspect the answer is no - which is fine - you saved us in 2010 when we were on our knees, for which we will ever be grateful. But then please do the right thing as a "supporter" and pass the mantle on to someone who can take us to the next level.

He's got nothing to lose to be fair If he keeps us up then he'll be crowned a hero, laughing his way to the bank with his bonus. If we go down it will be Parish's/The board/the players that he inherited's/FDB's fault. Undoubtedly, he's had a tough start to the job but there's been little evidence to suggest that the team are better now than they were before with FDB in charge. I'm not expecting him to get results in these fixtures but equally I don't believe the team has improved as he suggested in his post match interview at the weekend. In fact the only things that have changed are the fans attitude to the manager and the change of personal on the bench. FDB picked the youngsters and Roy has put Mutch back on it and picks Delaney rather than Riedewald.

I don't think Roy will resign. He may offer it at the end of the season if we go down, but he knew what he was coming in for and he's old school - as is Ray. They will try and see the job through. If they had been recruited when SA resigned we would not be in this position.
