Lest we forget. "He covered more distance than any other player on the pitch and Match of the Day pundit Phil Neville highlighted his “exceptional” pressing off the ball. Hard-working displays were not commonly associated with Chamakh when he was at Arsenal but Palace fans have recognised his value."

True, but not as a striker Strikers don't always have to score, Chamakh could completely open up a defence with a turn or feint, opening up the space for others. Jerome was essential to the team too despute only scoring 2 goals that season. Heskey was always thought of highly for the job he did for the team and we saw the other week what Shane Long could achieve from just being a nuisance. btw I'm definitely not in favour of getting Chamakh back now, too injury prone and probably past it.

I really can't get excited about the possibility of signing any washed up has been. We may as well give youth and energy a chance.
