Yes I reckon it's going to go brilliantly. That was the plan all along. Try and look like we wanted a striker on the final day but not actually get one. Why hasn't anyone else done the same. Get the season over and start planning for the championship. Shambolic. Not what I meant at all. Obviously everyone apart from Parish knew we needed 1/2 strikers in. Benteke has been awful tho and wasn't ever gonna be dropped. We seriously may as well of been playing with 10 men. Now he's injured someone will step up I'm sure.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Benteke- out for 6 weeks' by Guntrisoft We should have three first-team strikers competing, so missing out on Niassie was not just bad luck, as we should have ensured we had at least one in before deadline day. I know Parish said it was de Boer's decision to get rid of Campbell, but in honesty most fans thought that was the right decision. I probably have too much patience, but even for me, to start the second season running with a massive weakness in one area is poor. We are going to have to learn to play without a recognised striker, or someone is going to have to take a massive step up. This will certainly put poor old Roy's tactical nous to the test.

I love Palace but this is just crazy how could a professional outfit such as ours let this happen. I bet Brighton will be looking on and laughing their heads off. Sorry for the rant, one very embarrassed Palace fan.
