Lets face it between now and `january we need all the options we can get upfront. If Hodgson and the coaching team see something in Sako to offer something different, that's gold dust in our present situation.

Having Roy facing reality and early is definitely a good thing.

Hodgson likes 2 up front. Sako isn't a bad option off the bench as an alternative to Benteke but the two of them up top wouldn't work. Both too slow and immobile. Someone like Levi Lumeka or Wilf could be the second striker and Feed of Tekkers knock downs and run in behind etc.

I'm not disagreeing but if they can get Benteke's once precision headers right onto Sako's left peg in training then they may have some use together. Worked for West Ham.

Not saying it will work and it could be predictable, certainly ugly, but it might be worth a couple of late goals. Let's face it, some will be gold dust so Roy's going to have to rinse every drop of water during this drought and possibly only one prem quality 90 minute option.

Like Sako, the power in his shots are immense, keepers are rarely able to hold onto anything he's struck, ideal for someone to stick in. Maybe even Christian. Seeing that we're in desperate need of more goalmouth activity, we should chance it and play him more offensively.

We are better off playing Ladapo then having a makeshift Sako. He isn't good enough in his favoured position of Winger. Like I said not an awful option, but I'd much rather play Ladapo, who is naturally a striker and has a similar physical presence.

Ladapo scored a couple of decent goals in the U23s the other day, the second in particular was a cracking finish much like the one Benteke missed against L'pool, only further out and at a more acute angle. Okay he missed a couple of chances as well, but I think if we are going to develop a system which relies on a big striker, we should be using him in the match day squad.

We have Benteke - Best big powerful striker
Wickham - Second choice above when fit
Ladapo - worse version of him

I'd be real pleased to see Ladapo given a chance to impress.

Think him Levi and Wan-Bissaka all have potential.

Hope Roy will continue FdB's good work...

55K a week, what were we thinking?

he's the worst winger in the team, including the young guy who came on the other week. Probably more suited to playing centrally
