The team looks good WHEN fit. But we have been saying this for a few years now; "if only we had so and so fit". We need to start establishing a bit more strength in our squad. And we need to be 95% sure we're going to stay up to do that. We can't keep being in a relegation scrap every year.

And I think having Luka back in his rightful position, along with Sakho in defence, will add that grit to our team that we have lived off. Can you remember that quality and assurance added to our team last year with Luka in CM? Definitely ONE of FDB's shortcomings - dropping Luka or trying to play him as a CB.

Ridiculous treatment of him. He was visibly pardewed as soon as the season started and it's obvious why. De Boer had him pi**ed off during the friendlies and then dropped him back into midfield without so much as a by your leave, then blamed him for the results. At least based on Saturday there doesn't seem to be too much damage done to him but it's obvious what would have happened to the squad if we had carried on with de Boer.

Anyone with a reasonable work rate ought to be able to do better than Tekers has done in the last few games and it might give him a kick up the arse if done with the right message. Obviously de Boar stoating up to him and saying "You're s***e, go and watch Bumfluff playing for Boro" wouldn't work but perhaps Woy and his team can be a bit more constructive.

I don't think speroni has any chance of playing. And rightly so- Hennessey is not the calamity many of you believe him to be. The trouble with our left backs is that each one of the three has the ability to be a liability as well as a match winner. I'm torn on that one. Used to think Souare was a shaky defender but good crosser, while PVA is a solid defender when that's his main job. He used to mark wilf out of almost every game when we'd play Sunderland. Having said that he has been poor this season, while I never trusted Schlupp as a defender and think he's a bit clumsy going forward. If the three were combined they would make one hell of a player. I still would have liked to see Schlupp played on the wing when wilf was out. Not how things are viewed within the club.
