The team looks good WHEN fit.

But we have been saying this for a few years now; "if only we had so and so fit".

We need to start establishing a bit more strength in our squad.

And we need to be 95% sure we're going to stay up to do that. We can't keep being in a relegation scrap every year.

Tis a pity that he is made of the same stuff as the original Crystal Palace. Of course we had thought he'd be back by now - but now who knows if he'll even be the same player he was?

And I think having Luka back in his rightful position, along with Sakho in defence, will add that grit to our team that we have lived off.

Can you remember that quality and assurance added to our team last year with Luka in CM?

Definitely ONE of FDB's shortcomings - dropping Luka or trying to play him as a CB.

I meant I'd rather have an injured, hobbling crutch-laden Wickham than Benteke.

Ridiculous treatment of him. He was visibly pardewed as soon as the season started and it's obvious why. De Boer had him pi**ed off during the friendlies and then dropped him back into midfield without so much as a by your leave, then blamed him for the results. At least based on Saturday there doesn't seem to be too much damage done to him but it's obvious what would have happened to the squad if we had carried on with de Boer.

I can't see any harm in dropping him in favour of someone like Ladapo, at least for the cup game. Anyone with a reasonable work rate ought to be able to do better than Tekers has done in the last few games and it might give him a kick up the arse if done with the right message. Obviously de Boar stoating up to him and saying "You're s***e, go and watch Bumfluff playing for Boro" wouldn't work but perhaps Woy and his team can be a bit more constructive.

Perhaps de Boer has pardewed Tekers as well. Subject to that though I don't see any harm in dropping him in favour of someone like Ladapo, at least for the cup game, if done with the right message. As in not "Tekers, you're s***e. Go and watch Bumfluff playing for Boro."

The trouble with our left backs is that each one of the three has the ability to be a liability as well as a match winner. I'm torn on that one. Used to think Souare was a shaky defender but good crosser, while PVA is a solid defender when that's his main job. He used to mark wilf out of almost every game when we'd play Sunderland. Having said that he has been poor this season, while I never trusted Schlupp as a defender and think he's a bit clumsy going forward. If the three were combined they would make one hell of a player. I still would have liked to see Schlupp played on the wing when wilf was out.

Not how things are viewed within the club.

In that case how was he given a new contract, why no new keeper signed in the two month window and why is he still the first choice keeper??

What do you think guys ? For me there's defo enough there to get out of trouble, we would have good options from the bench too and Thats without any January additions.

People sometimes forget that Pape was not in the side the day he had his accident and had had an iffy run in the team prior to that. I am a big fan of Jules but until we sign ANOTHER international it's Wayne for me and he has fought off more than one keeper so far.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
