whats wrong hes correct...we havnt

its just people havecto high expecations of what to expect of a small club in the PL.

given the amount of s*** he takes from idiots who dont know what they are talking about he should be allowed to have a sly dig back.

reading comments on here like people slamming him for taking a wage, or would he survive relegation just shows the level of philistines we currently have following the club.

I was thinking the same and I'm starting not to like it.

Don't think the general frustration is about a sense of entitlement or having a short memory, or crawling out the woodwork.

Think his behaviour is clearly becoming a little bizarre.

There is a sense of entitlement though.
It's only/we should beat Huddersfield, Swansea, Burnley is a constant refrain. People forget they are thinking the same, "It's only/we should beat Palace".
No gimmes in this league, unless you play us.

Interesting to read Steve's comments.I don't do all that Twitter and twitting.

When I look back over the years and the 6,000 crowds and when the £75K we spent on Bright seemed like a fortune, also more recently to the days when we almost folded as a club, I can understand where Steve is coming from.

We have made enormous strides since those dark days, playing to capacity crowds, being known worldwide and paying multi-millions for footballers. This can all be lost amongst the current tribulations in terms of results.

You forgot about 150 of us huddled together for communal warmth behind the goal on the old Holmesdale terrace, watching us lose to Grimsby in the cup in freezing fog.....

Frankly, if I was having to take as much in public criticism and insults as SP, think I'd bite back now and then too!

Steve should not need reminding that he is in a results based business.

Results have been poor and people naturally look at the possible reasons for that.

Yes his record is a good one overall and yes, in terms of consecutive seasons at the highest level, we haven't had it so good

But I don't think it's unreasonable that his recent decision making is being questioned.
