Poor judgement in choosing managers ,poor judgement in player Parish uses managers as scapegoats it's not FDB fault we are in the s*** ,it's Parishes inability to make correct judgements when required . Something is fundermetall wrong at Palace .The club is being run like a championship side in the premier league , penny pinching and skimping with transfers , indecisive decisions. No direction infact going backwards . If Parish and the board cannot afford to run the club then sell it to someone else or a consortium that can , I feel this may even be to late now as I feel the trap door is wide open now . Edited by Dodger Lane (16 Sep 2017 9.05pm) You have hit the nail on the head there my good man . I said something similar in the past and got crucified for daring to criticise saint Steve. I know he has saved us from extinction blah blah blah but some really bad decisions have been made .

I'd like to see us emulate Have I Got News For You after they sacked Angus Deayton and just have a special guest manager every week. Would be good to see Jamie Theakston or Jo Brand get a go.

FDB for me every day. If he upset a few players then so be it. The so called Palace DNA has got to be changed. Leaving the midfield wide open and having everybody on the 18 yard line is not going to win you many games and is not entertaining.

parish has messed up on the FDB appointment, perhaps his messed up on some other things as well. But his done enough good for this club to give him some credits, nobody is perfect. As for penny pinching how so? The way I see it the money the club has made has gone back into the club using the sale of Yannick as an example. The first team we have is very strong on paper and I think we will do ok, a full fit squad and we are almost there. We need to stay together stay strong and after these next 3 games our season starts.

The club obviously had a transfer budget of at least £40m with Riedewald obviously being de Boer's choice but do you really think that he would have allocated the balance of £32m to Sakho for £25m and a striker for £7m as I'm thinking that de Boer's allocation of the available funds would have been different and would have covered different areas

The pundits were right in each of their views but the problem started with hiring him or not sacking him within weeks, which I've heard Parish wanted to. Actually I heard before the first game but Parish wasn't even around, excused for 'needing a holiday.' Well several of them for karaoke. If I were him I'd have several during the year rather than the whole summer.

What went on behind the scenes is anyone's guest, but De Boer was willing to change the 3 at the back style, be it pressure from above or what. The way we played against Burnley was a step in the right direction. I really think if De Boer was in charge today we would have got some points out of it. Hodgson tried to play it safe today with the team and subs ( apart from Lee ) I would like to see over the next few matches a couple of the younger lads on the bench Ladapo and Lumeka Edited by manwitheagletattoo (16 Sep 2017 8.32pm) I think you can say goodbye to any youth making it into the team. Woy is a boring old fart, doesn't like to take risks

Sick of hearing the same old thing " we have a good squad on paper " We need a f***ing good squad on the pitch ,not on bloody paper . The rot set in when pardew was given to long to win a game, It's for the good of the club, it's not , its for the good of Parish and always has been .

We are now in our fifth year in the Premiership and we should be up there with the like's of WBA, Southampton, Stoke, but we are not, every year its a relegation fight. The harsh reality is that we come up to quick with very little in the foundations. We do not have the infrastructure in the club to move forward and I believe that why manager's are coming and going and the reason why Sam left. We hardly have any scouting, our training ground needs updating as with the ground, and that all takes time. Its a case were we are in the top league and we are doing everything possible to keep our heads above water and we are now seeing the results. The Sakho signing as it has been mentioned, to keep the fans happy, Yes we all wanted Sakho, but in reality there are our players out there that could have come in and done the same job at a lower price, Our priority was a striker and other area's. All this pundit talk is very good, but most of them have never managed a football club in their life, and won't do because it is easier to stand there and tell everybody where thing are going wrong with clubs.
