You couldn't start them in the Premiership anyway, that would be massively unfair to english clubs. If you put them in league 2 they would actually get more tv money than they do in the SPL. If they did they would cruise through the divisions. Celtic have always said they never would but interestingly Rangers nearly did. When the new owners took over Rangers they made a bid to buy a league 2 side (I will have to check but I think it was Bury) to cannibalize them. Bury were facing bankruptcy and were seriously tempted to say yes but changed their mind at the last minute. Again attendances of over 40'000, fierce pro unionist club. Would have killed off sectarianism in Scottish football as the big 2 would almost never meet. Could have been really interesting

Simon Jordan claims there was a plan to allow Celtic and Rangers into English football in return for a £200m bribe sorry I meant membership fee. I don't care about Scottish football it's not the job of the Premier League or the EFL to help their clubs. If they ever were to join it would just mean that it would be harder for English clubs to reach the Premier league and stay there. Whilst I don't care about Scottish football removing the two giants would destroy their game north of the border and would probably force them into semi professional status. Luckily this came to nothing. What would be a good idea is to revamp the league cup and allow the Scottish teams to compete in that as long as the number of games didn't increase. Back to the days of the Anglo Scottish cup, I wouldn't mind seeing that. Edited by Badger11 (13 Feb 2020 9.47am)

I don't understand why them and Liverpool don't just relocate to Ireland - where all their support is.

Used to like Celtic as football club and tried hard to not allow the nonsense to bother me but whilst living in Barna I went to a game between Barca and Celtic and whilst waiting for an Irish mate was set apon verbally by by a group of Celtic fans because I was English two of whom were close to hitting me! even tho I was going in the Celtic end! when my big Irish mate arrived they melted. Now I cant stand them and want them to loose every game they play! I suppose you could say I despise them and follow the side of Glasgow which is Loyal Edited by Barcelona Based Fan (17 Feb 2020 3.39pm)
