Just another lot of waffle, telling us nothing we all didn't already know.

There is nothing to protest about . More than likely inevitable. I would've had him on game by game monitoring but it does seem as though he was itching to play 3-4-3, show the top 5 what he could do and go there if it works or just walk away without a care if it didn't. That was my reading of him once he mentioned it and still is. And I didn't want him before that. Was willing to give him a bit of time though. The chairmanship has been far from classy. Who conducts transfers. Manager old style or continental board style, with Parish in Spain for most of the summer. Oh it's okay, modern communications and all that. Frank, parish and board all share some blame. Time to support and them to sort it out and move out those who should be when possible. That's how you do that. Not renewing contracts on a cb to never play and then end up with 7 of them or isolate them and then select them a day later. They're all acting very amateurishly but have time to correct it. That or they're going to get abuse for sh1t performances once relegated.

Saying one thing in interviews, well certainly in public so we assume in interviews, then either without assessing the squad or assessing it very badly, decides it's full steam ahead with 3 at the back. It didn't sound like he shelved it either. Whatever anyone hears, thinks, believes, we weren't a good match. I said that when he joined and I still think it. He has serious shortcomings, more than we can absorb, and it's very obvious to me he was putting himself on a fast track to a top 5 job. Think about it. He was considered for jobs like Liverpool before inter where he's probably convinced himself with the help of the media that none of that was any of his responsibility. When there were points to be had he didn't respect them, then when it was tough with injuries and fixtures etc we wished he had. Whether he does or not or would just only reluctantly change short term to save his job, well.... That side of him is very Pardew.

Just sing and support the club for points. It's that simple. None of that cr&p when Sam started until we realise we're contributing to our own relegation. It's up to blocks c, d etc, the upper and the Arfur to wake up from their coma before it's too late. I can agree with your sentiments however isn't there a danger that the powers that be will just think they can do whatever they like and the great unwashed will still come, cheer and sing like trained monkeys? That said, what are people protesting about? Appointing FdB? Sacking FdB? Players? Parish? The bogs in the Arthur?

I think that would be the perfect banner. Pretty expensive if you're paying by the letter mind... Having said that, Hodgson will be 72 when his contract is up. Hard to plan too far ahead when he's liable to dose off midway through the second half. Yes I expect at that age he'll be on quite a lot of medication.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

There is no hiding from this fiasco, whether or not talk of fans’ protests is followed through on Saturday lunchtime which is a stupid idea in the first place as the fans should get behind the team who it has come to light were subjected to an awful and torrid for time under Frank De Boer which in turn made the players not want to play for him. Some senior club members of staff have come out and said the he was a control freak and he thought he ran the club and did not listen to good advice. This was the case in his last club where he got sacked from. I think if I was one of the players and the manger kept getting the ball in training and started showing off his skills in front of goal every five minutes I too would get p1$$ed off as our players did. His man management by all accounts is nil. From Dominic Fifields article It seems pretty obvious to me that De Boer was completely out of his depth which the above proves and it was the best thing that SP could have done was to sack him especially when it seems De Boer had somehow hoodwinked him in the initial interview. I personally think SP should get some praise for acting so quickly on seeing where we were heading. He does not deserve all the flack he is getting as he is trying to put things right and we must all remember that he is not alone in decisions made by the owners he only does things when ALL three agree upom something. He knows as we do he is on a learning curve when it comes to running a football club and he HAS admitted it in the past many times both in the press and when interviewed on TV, radio or on Hol radio so give him a break he is only doing what he can do to make our club get better and it does not warrant us fans and everyone else calling him names etc. Give the guy a break and see how Roy gets to grips with the situation and gets our players playing like we know they can play and changes their mood from "pi$$ed off" to "Pride in a Palace shirt". I say again a display like a fans protest on Saturday is really uncalled for and will only put the team off their game and quite well make it our 5th loss please remember that when Saturday comes, (plus remember the game is on TV) we do not want the world to see how fickle and stupid Crystal Palace Fans are but instead show them how we have the loudest and most loyal fans as we always have done in the past and spur the team on to get us our first three points on the board!!
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
