This post has been merged from a topic called 'I bet Punch.....' by Guntrisoft Is working diligently at home with his team of 'private investigators' trying to find out as much dirt on Roy Hodgson as he can, to ensure he is the first name on the team sheet!!! Surely Roy will see that Puncheon is about as much use as 'tits on a fish"!!!

McArthur contributed far more offensively last year (inc scoring 5 PL goals) in 2/3rd playing time and is also a better defender

Every manager seems to love him and make him the first player on the team sheet. If we are to make any progress, he has to be dropped. A midfield of Cabaye, Luca or McArthur and RLC would be be a much better prospect. Yep, we've got four quality players for three positions. No way Punch should be on the pitch if any three of Cabaye, Luka, McArthur or RLC are fit. Hopefully Woy will surprise us all and pick our strongest players for the starting XI.

Punch is CPFC born and bred. However, his best days are long past based on performances since 2015. We need a strong midfield 3 of Luka, Cabaye and RLC. Jimmy Mac did ok on Sunday and is a great squad player. Sadly, Punch really is now a squad player. Sakho is a leader. He was PSG captain at 17. LFC's loss is going to be our gain, provided he stays fit. Hope the new manager, whoever that is, gets our squad and gives it some stability, playing the Palace way.

At the most, he pulled his weight. He has been on the decline ever since he joined us. He hasn't scored a league goal in over 3300 minutes and has just one assist of any description in the past 1000 KG was a placeholder as a Premier League player and at least brought some physicality

If the new manager was to watch ANY of Punch's games in the past season would he honestly say "Look at that bloke, fantastic leader, great contributor to the team. I want him as my captain and I will never sub him or drop him." There is not one single Palace fan in the world who would agree.
Please can I have my faith in Palace-humanity restored?
