It's in the hands of SP. It's easy to blame FbB but our squad was put together with SP having the final say, managers included. Punch, Lee, Schlupp all look like they'd struggle in the championship. Personally I'd give FdB more time but I don't think he'll get it sad to say.

I think I watched a different game to some people. Burnley were happy to sit back and let us have the ball breaking on the counter. We had the possession because Burnley let us have the ball in safe areas. There are so many points of concern!!!! Our most dangerous player was a defender. Lee isn't a premier league player and how punch is still a guaranteed starter I'll never know. Fair enough we have players coming back, but after 5/6 years the board still haven't learned their lesson failing to get cover for key positions. At 1 nil down we bring on a defensive minded player. What premier league team only has one recognised striker? The board have to shoulder a lot of the blame, you can only flirt with relegation so many times and the January transfer window is not always going to save the season. Dyche was far from happy with them sitting so deep. We never allowed them to play at all and credit should go to the side. If we win next week with a total role reversal then many will come on here criticising us for being lucky. Stick together and we come through this. We will play worse than this and win this season, IMO.

I honestly believe that just dropping Puncheon would massively improve us.He is so ineffective and just a total waste of space that he is holding this team back big time. Its like playing with 10 men every week.I really hope FDB keeps his job long enough to get to the stage of dropping him and see the difference without him in the team.I would rather have a s*** player in that team than a totally ineffective one.Hes a lazy disgrace.

FDB's not going anywhere soon. Much better overall performance today apart from Lee's terrible backpass! Burnley saved twice from having players on the line. Blocking a couple of shots, Benteke who should have headed on target, Shlupp's shot the same and Dann's chance well! Palace 23 chances on goal today, 5 on target. Burnley only had 5 touches in our penalty area! Just about sums up our luck at the moment. Burnley couldn't have played any deeper in the second half it was like watching Palace last year when we were were clinging to a lead! This will all change and soon also we have RLC, Luca, Wilf, Riedewald and Sakho all looking to get in/back in the team as well.

I am extremely confused. I said it all week... "if we lose Sunday I want De Boer gone" now, after 2 minutes (their goal) I DID want him gone. After our first half performance, I thought "hang on a minute, we have got something here if we play like this all season" and I wanted him to stay regardless of result. Then came the second half performance, and " I want home gone tomorrow" I don't know what I want or what I think!! Forget the knee jerk reactions, look at the game. Could we have won this if luck was on our side? Chung Yong Lee was awful, and there is no excuse for this (not just the goal but every cross and pass) What do you lot think? There is luck and there is helping yourself and making In this case it would have helped if you had not picked Lee as one of your strongest XI.(regardless of his error today , but if he had not been it the side he would not have made it ) Your luck would also have been improved by starting the season with a formation that suited your strongest

Totally agree. He runs around in dead ends and won't cross when he has the chance. Despite his awful mistake Lee played better than Puncheon

If clearing the ball off your line twice in a game and your keeper having to make a crucial 1 on 1 save plus the opposition putting 2 chances just wide of the post is letting the other team have the ball in safe areas then we do that pretty well too...apart from stopping them go in. Burnley stuck 2 men p top to try and boss us in defence and keep high pressure, Dann and Fosu-Mensah dealt with the strikers very well didn't allow them to do their job which resulted in them sticking the rest of the team on the edge of their box. We may not have scored but we bossed the game and didn't allow them much of a sniff after the 3rd minute.
