Thought both subs did well.

Riedewald was only on the pitch for 10 minutes but looked like the best passer of the ball from either side during that time.

He needs to play.

Correct me if I'm wrong Tommy but pretty sure his first pass was five yards behind the player and went straight into touch. Having said that think he will turn out to be a good buy but not as a CB. Once Wilf Sak RLC back things will surely turn around

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

Didn't do much, looked ok but has a long way to go to show he has what it takes at this level. Class? not a chance.

You look at his contribution vs Rashford when he was given his chance, very very different.

Whilst we have some good youngsters, Zaha is by far and away the only one who's actually looked like he'll make it from the off and that was in the championship.

A debutant can't look class because obviously he has no experience. But he can look fresh, exciting and energetic, and Lameka did. He also looked skilful.

Add some experience to that and he may well be class.

And even without it he looked a level above the muppet he replaced.

Rashford and Zaha are exceptional players and theirs are big boots indeed to try to step into. We are very fortunate to have a player of that calibre without forking out northwards of £50m. But someone else has to play if he can't and based on today I'd have Lameka rather than Lee every time.

Completely agree with this ^^^^

How people can compare him to rashford is beyond me...

Suprised how stupid our fans are? Nope not anymore... Thickest in the league by a long margin going by many many posts on here...

I thought he looked real good, composed, decent touch, looked for the correct spaces. Was calling for it more than others. Looked far far better on the ball than Lee.

He looked IMO as if he'd be able to play at this level.

Did he look like a world beater on his first game? No obviously he didn't but if you think just cos he didn't come on a win us the game that he doesn't look decent then well, I'd say your expectation levels are way way to high.

He was absolutely ready to pounce on Bentekes chance, I recon he'll score goals for Palace.

Very true and therefore needs to be given more game time over him. Puncheon needs a rest as well. Change the band and give it immediately to Sakho when he enters the fray, a natural leader from the back. Players need to be picked on their performances.

He was ok. some of you are mistaking liveliness, which one would expect on a winger's premier league debut, for quality. He didn't show many glimpses of actual quality or reason to think he could make an impact, but he did look pretty comfortable on the ball at times

I totally disagree. I thought he did little and looked isolated out on the left wing. The tempo dropped wen e came on.
A bad substitution in my eyes. One for the future yes - but not what we needed today.

Let's hope he gets a longer chance than Hiram Boateng against Swansea under Pards. Given 20 mins and never seen again, although nearly scored. May not of shown much after that but a longer run at that stage might of helped. Would be a positive over the past if this lad was given a longer period, particularly with our dearth of options presently up front.

Today anyone coming on for Lee would have been an improvement.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't three of our best chances happen when he was on the pitch? Personally I thought he did ok and didn't look out of place, but nothing more than that. The Riedewald sub worked well as it allowed Cabaye to move forward and from that he almost created a goal for Dann.
