If a manager doesn't bring confidence to the players then he's a bad manager.

If you play with confidence and lose then that's acceptable.

If you have experienced and proven Premiership players yet play four games and score no goals then I'm afraid some people just aren't accepting reality.

Three of these four games were against the weaker Premiership sides...It's not as those all these sides were in a great place themselves.....these are damning realities.

Frank was a bad pick.....Great player, not a great manager.

He shouldn't go after that performance. The team did everything but win. We have some important players to come back and FdB shows he can be flexible by changing the formation. But please drop Punch!!!! The thing that is not in his favour is our next run of matches!!!! Not good and i think ultimately Parish will get rid which i think right now is wrong.

Yes, but let's not deceive ourselves. This was an average, if solid, Burnley team. Didn't they just sit back and allow us the possession?

Does that not remind you of us 4/5 years ago?

Three out of these four games were against the weakest Premiership teams....All of these sides have problems themselves. Even playing average we should have 4 points by now. We have had easier games that the other sides sitting with zero points with us.

Worst start ever in the Premiership.

This isn't a manager connecting with his players.

Nothing against mostly weak opposition. Spending all Summer grovelling to the Scousers for another defender and running around for a back up forward at the last minute is a disgrace.

This is a manager who was brought in to change the style and was not backed in the window to facilitate that change. He has adapted his mentality in order to save his job. Don't see any of those teams having more problems than us right now and its not all FdB's fault. The board need to take the large percentage of the blame.

Not connecting with players.... i would say that stats and performance today would say otherwise.

Yep, so average that they put 3 past Chelsea away in the last game.

If we had sacked FDB straight after the Swansea game, got in another manager immediately, and then got this exact same result and performance today, everyone would be feeling positive that we were making progress.

Play like that in general and we will win games. We were very good on the ball today but we can't legislate for a mistake and after that Burnley parked the bus. Dann miss was painful too. We deserved to win that game. We are improving, sacking Frank after that would make no sense at all. If we play how we did today with Wilf and Sakho in the team, it could be excellent.

Really really hope the board show some metal and stick to the game plan after that. Otherwise I will find myself seriously challenging Parish for the first time as a Palace fan.

Excellent post.
