Pity they can't do it in Tibet..pity our government now cosies so closely up to the regime in Beijing that no one has the bottle to say anything publicly about the kidnappings of dissidents from Hong Kong either.Bravo the emasculation of our diplomacy ensuing from proposed brexit. My apologies, I just want to clarify your position on this as you seem like a nice chap and i'd rather not argue against a misinterpretation. Are you seriously suggesting that the UK's position on Tibet and Hong Kong has been formed either solely or mainly because of the vote to leave the EU?

Edited by hedgehog50 (09 Sep 2017 7.50pm) Don't worry, I will give him the chance to metaphorically back down and vacate that position before I send in the armoured tank columns of 'basic facts and history' to dispatch with this unrest. full irony intended

If anyone is pro-Brexit now with the way things are being handled by the UK 'team' not veering off the road to self-destruction and not looking like they are going to any time soon then they are an unpatriotic idiot. Edited by Kermit8 (09 Sep 2017 8.19pm)

OR take your chances that maybe we 'aint quite as bad a nation that many wish to believe we are? Hmmmm..........

The public voted for it, so no amount of marching and whinging by a bunch of irrelevant lefties who want the UK to be a liberal utopia won't solve anything.
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

Edited by Kermit8 (09 Sep 2017 8.19pm) Kermit, I wouldn't bother arguing against the tabloid opinion swallowers, wetting themselves with glee at a Brexit decision, which is making us a laughing stock. I don't agree with Kelvin McKenzie very often but he knew his readers, and he described them as follows: "He's the bloke you see in the pub, a right old fascist, wants to send the wogs back, buy his poxy council house, he's afraid of the unions, afraid of the Russians, hates the queers and the weirdos and drug dealers..." Lets just see how it pans out. It's the BREXITERS decision let them have it. In 5 fives years they'll be foaming at the mouth after some other scapegoat.
