Have we got a space in our squad to sign a free agent? Isn't it the case if we've got 25 contracted players over 21 they all have to be named in the squad? Unless you leave a place to sign a free agent (like I think we did with Flamini) we would be in the territory of having to pay up contracts. Can anyone confirm our situation?

Diamanté could be an interesting one, getting on a bit now but could be a good partner for benteke. Best attribute is passing so if he can get on the ball probably would be able to create chances which is one thing we are really lacking ATM without wilf.

No you don't have to name them like we didn't with Florian Marange (think that was his name). Obviously not great business though!

Sorry misread - thought you were talking about Diabate. I'd say his best ability is his strength in the air. He's huge! Reckon it'd be a good addition if free. Saw he was on loan at Metz last season with option to buy which it doesn't look like they took up, but wiki says he was in the middle of 3yr contract with Osmalispor but maybe they released him. He'd be a decent option to bring on and cause a bit of mayhem if we need to hit it long - Peter Crouch stylee. Looks like he's still got a bit of quality about him from clips below. However might be best to wait a while to see if any other options are released in the not too distant future. When are the 25's named ?

I'm sure he did some other good stuff, but from his goals he's not exactly Lukaku mark II.
