I'm a fan of Steve's.But,depends where we finish in the table and whether with Sakho on board from the start of the season we might have have had say four points by now.Last season each place higher in the table was worth £1.9 million to a club.

We can never forget that Steve Parish saved our club because there is always somebody like you to remind us.

Are we '' an established Premier League team '' ? If we are, we do not operate like one. Even though they missed out on signing Janssen from Spurs, bloody Brighton have more recognised strikers than we do and they are newly promoted !

It is largely acknowledged that Hennessy is at the lower end of the scale ( and that's being kind ) of PL goalkeepers and yet the only competition provided to him was from an overrated Mandanda who never looked like he wanted to be here....and look how that ended up. Why are we scrambling around at the last knockings of the transfer window to address a long standing problem - and then failing to resolve it ?!

And '' if FDB is not the right man '' etc., well who appointed him in the first place ? In the full knowledge that the ' Palace DNA ' that SP referred to last year was about to be ripped apart as the new man decided upon his tactics before evaluating the players available to him.

I have no axe to grind with Steve Parish, he has many good traits that have served our club well. But despite having - on paper at least - the best starting eleven since we came up - we look as vulnerable now as we did four years ago.

TBF it's not just us that dither about at the end of the transfer window, a lot of clubs do this and then fail (City / Sanchez)And look at Newcastle !!! But failing to add a Striker and a new Keeper will hurt us in the long run, best case scenario is the Sakho signing will lift the boys and they go on a few games of winning, we look average, until Jan when we can then add a Striker and a Gk, and everyone stays fit.
Worse case benteke gets crocked, sakho doesn't get match fit for 5 games, and were 10 points adrift by Xmas.

That's two thirds of the pay-off to FdB when he goes.

Sakho is injured yes I guess we could of stumped up the 30mill in June and payed him for two months of physio that LFC were picking the tab up for.

SP isn't perfect, but he has the clubs best interests at heart, would you swap with Blackburn and get some chicken farmers in to assett strip.
