Even if it does work out transfer wise FDB still has to make it work.
The whole thing is very sad for us fans.
we are not asking for top four - just stability and one season of good old mediocrity - however boring it might be!!

That doesn't mean it has to be silly money but something around the £40m mark is not astronomical but we're not even committing that anywhere. 11hrs 10mins left of the window, let's see

Highly sceptical £40 mil would be enough to be enough for us to be safe with 3-4-3. Any sensible person would look at 3 Windows. And that means next season. Any pundit or credible journalist says 3 Windows in when you should be judged yet he wants to do it in 3 minutes.

We spent a sum approaching this in January to try and stay up so this has affected our spending power in the current 'Window'.

and yet everyone wants to judge him in three minutes too which makes fans just as bad. He's got some time to reflect on the opening three games and work with the squad. The next few games will be the real clue to him as a man and his management capabilities i.e. whether or not he can swallow his pride and bend his will to a less revolutionary style and one more fitting the current squad. It was always going to be test and learn. Lets see if he can do the learn bit.

"Evolution not revolution" is irrelevant because neither will be occurring if we don't strengthen today, doesn't matter if we had Pep Guardiola.

Even Sam could see that the squad simply wasnt strong enough. He worked his magic and got us safe by the skin of his teeth but he knew full well under his tenure it would've been another year scraping the barrel.

Still believe his resignation was due to a lack of financial promises in the transfer market. No doubt he watched us play city away with Schlupp and Kelly at CB and thought to himself holy s***.

2 good points. If he hadn't made such suicidal decisions and selections people wouldn't be so shocked or concerned.

Parish and Frank have a lot at stake here and it's possible for both to deliver survival, a little bit more passing football and evolving changes over the next 3 Windows. Both are being watched very closely and intensely by the football world that's for sure. More than normal for us and Frank. Both have to deliver the reasonable and it'll show if either haven't.

Completely agree. Which makes the window we've had following his appointment all the more bizarre.

Could not agree more. If the chairman had acted differently he would still be managing this club. Too many red flags with Parish right now.

One can only guess that perhaps Frank was the least inclined out of the candidates Parish spoke with to demand funds. We know his interest in giving youngsters a chance and this could've been where Parishs eyes lit up from a financial point of view (just fill the gaps in the squad with the academy). Just me adding 2+2 together though.

Yes but a max available net spend is simply that. If some mugs come in for our dross then great. Otherwise a business cannot either keep running at all loss or risk £7 million fines. Frank should be aware of this also and operate within it.

Always the same. Managers think they can spend beyond means. The problems when they leave aren't their's.
