They're only a 'team of our size' in regards to the size of their fanbase. Everything else, they are 'bigger' than us. We're more like a Watford.

Starting? Should be used to it by now, sunshine. We are the only team in the entire league that NEVER announces a signing 1 - 2 days after the news breaks in the media. I wonder why......remember our last permanent signing...same thing yet again. Starting because I'm usually pretty calm and fairly level headed. I trust the club to get things right in the end so I put up with a lot of the piss poor way we're run a lot of the time. So yes I'm now starting to get really frustrated which tells its own story that there appears to be more than a few things not right at the moment

Yeh agreed, listening to HOL radio everyone was making excuses for the continued awful transfer strategy that we are implementing year after year, except that young lad they have from Thornton Heath. "Other transfers have to happen first" and "you have to wait to get the right deals". No you dont, other clubs around us dont, they get their signings in at a time when they can add value to the first games and not watch us throw away 9 potential points of the 40 we need. There are so, so many things wrong with the way the club is being run, and its getting to be beyond a joke. Don't forget to tune in tonight, live from 9pm.

Hello Mr Gusset. I will be listening. Diyar makes some sound points but loses credibility with some of his overly simplistic views. The simple fact is that other clubs who should be similarly positioned financially are capable of getting signings done in different ways than our football club, and why is that? Other clubs can hire new managers quicker than 4 weeks, and why is that? Other clubs seem to learn from their mistakes and move on in a better way in future, we dont, and why is that? We hired a manager who made his name playing patient possession based football with technically gifted players all over the park, and we have none of they yet still hired him, and why is that? And dont give Parish a way out of this by saying "who knows what goes on behind the scenes with the Yanks making decisions also" as Hambo did in the last episode. The club is being run do to day by Parish, and the Americans are billionaires on a different time zone and continent, who also run other giant sports teams and other ventures, and they dont know this league or the sport. The buck stops with Parish on big decisions. Edited by Maine Eagle (31 Aug 2017 1.28pm)

We are a bigger club than Watford - marginally - due to catchment area and attendances. No way are we the same level as West Brom tho! We can only wish for their kind of problems ...

Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United People seem to forget the first three because they were done in time to start the season. They still count to this "window", though, and all look to be very useful players. Edited by Ray in Houston (01 Sep 2017 6.03pm)
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I know some will scoff but Barry still offers a lot in terms of leadership, calmness on the ball, keeping possession. Burke also exciting prospect which would add depth. Too late now in any case...

They and Lester have had brilliant windows. Identified targets early and got them in. No f***ing about.
