Despite reports elsewhere, it has NOT been rejected. However, they're still hoping to sign Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool who remains their first choice.

could be a move to make Liverpool think we're losing interest and force their hand at closer to £25m for Sakho? Reports Liverpool are going to spend a load of money today so maybe something is better than nothing for Sakho

Sakho WANTS to play for Palace and has proven for us. Would rather sign Sakho than Mangala.

I might be wrong but I think Man C paid some £32 Mill for a player who was converted from a striker to a defender. People I have spoken to have said that whilst he has pace and power and is at his best when he is in a real tussle with a robust centre-forward - if he has to think about situations he isn't the best and forwards can run off him too easily so his reading of the game needs to improve. SSN reporter just said that Palace have made a bid for Mangala. Suggesting this is possible backup in case Palace don't get Sakho no 1.
The right place at the right time |

So we pay silly money for a flop when for a small amount more we could buy Sakho a proven defender who wants to join us. Totally baffles. Why is Parish and board so inept in the transfer market. Mangala will prove to be an expensive flop. What a joke.

Knee jerk - we have signed some great players in the last few years. I would actually rather get Mangala - very good player - bad time of it at City but before that very highly regarded and in the French squad. Problem with Sakho is his injury record - if he stayed fit, would have sakho over anyone, but overall I think Mangala would be a better signing.

Sky just reported that the bid may be favorable as it is a cash deal. That it is likely up to the player if he wants to move

I thought this player wanted to go to Internazionale or nowhere, so if Citeh agree terms with them surely our interest is dead. Maybe Inter want to sit him on the bench for 88 minutes every weekend. If that's his bag then he wouldn't be the sort to bother his arse for 90 minutes away against West Brom in the pi**ing rain. Especially if they've got Sakho.
