Who says that deals aren't being worked on as we speak but the press only make up sh*t rumours for people to look at the lovely adverts on their website? Anything being done is on the hush to avoid alerting other clubs?

How about this for a wild & crazy idea... Wait for 11pm tomorrow night, if the players you want in aren't coming, start a thread and moan for an actual reason. Radical I know but it may be better for your sanity.

I am assuming that Tim will be our new RB/RWB.

When Big Mama turns up the centre backs all get to move over don't they?

I expect that Croydon Lad will have got there first and started half a dozen whingey threads

62 days in the summer transfer window - so far we've spent £8M plus to loans - 2 very good loan signings IMO.

At the start of the window it was obvious minimum we needed was a keeper, CB and a striker - 61 days down the line we haven't resolved any of those issues.

Now with 30 odd hours left in the window - we still need what we required at the beginning of the window - how and why has that been allowed to happen?

Do we really believe that we will make these three signings in the last throws of the transfer window, if we do and the funds are available why wasn't it done before?

In the meantime whilst we've postured and procrastinated we're now 0 points from 3 games, 2 of them winnable games at home - how much that will cost us at the end of the season only time will tell.

I really hope we bring in what we require - finally, but if we do I am really struggling to understand the underlying strategy - why wait until you are "behind the 8 ball" to act?

Here's to the next 30 hours and hoping.

Don't worry. My grandmother will sign a short-term goalkeeping contract until the end of the season if Parish makes a late bid at the crematorium for her.

I'm guessing Jairo , pva and schlupp were a combined total of30 million or we could of picked up Kieran Gibbs for 7 million , I know who I rather have. There are bargains out there we just don't seem to pick them up

We've known for months that we desperately need a Right back, striker and goalkeeper since the end of last season why almost 24 hours before the window shuts haven't we signed at least one player in these three positions? Sakho will be a quality signing provided he is fit and provided we play a back four or he can adapt to a back three. There seems to be an awful lot of assumptions being made that by signing one very expensive player who played well for us in 8 games last season that we will transform overnight under a different manager to the same team we were under allardyce last season. Is there any semblance of a plan at palace?

So you are a player that wants to break into Premiership league big time and bottom club (with history of escaping relegation) comes approaching.....

If you were a team who had a player that 3 teams wanted, would you sell him at the start of the window., or would you wait until the end when teams get desperate and may pay a bit more.

If your star striker wanted to move, would you sell him early in the window, or would you wait until you can replace him, if you can replace him. If you can't, you'd hang onto him as long as possible. ...

I do not think the transfer fees are an issue it is wages I think SP is trying to keep very tight structure also people forget Palace is not really an attractive club the ground is nightmare to get to and the training setup is not the greatest

If SP wasn't so selective with wages we could of gotten a lot of these people early

With Souare now playing again, would that not make one of Van Aanholt or Schlupp surplus to requirements? Very harsh I know to offload one of these, but if we're really up against the wall financially, there must surely be more pressing uses to be made of wages saved and transfer fees paid?
