Think Martinez signed him for £13 Mill which is cheap these days !
His real strength is running on to through balls and bearing down on goal.
Unpredictable - in some games he has a good touch and in others it is very disappointing.

Niasse 4 / 1 on to come to Palace.

Not a world-class striker but on balance I think an upgrade on Campbell. Only thing is we might miss Campbell's workrate when closing out a game, he didn't put many away but he was hardworking and prepared to do whatever it took.

That said it doesn't look as if we'll be closing out a game anytime soon. Chasing one, maybe.

Cenk looked like the better footballer to me. I'd have backed him over Niasse if a chance came his way. Also you've got to be a tough competitor if nothing else coming from the Turkish leagues. Saying that he did also do quite well in European competitions.

However we need competition so one is better than none, just seems like we're getting a bit desperate and some of this business should have already been wrapped up weeks ago.

Yes, I don't get the negativity about this player. Looked decent in a s*** Hull side that would've been condemned a lot sooner than it was without him. Also has complimentary strengths to Benteke I think, plays more with his feet. I think Everton treated him quite badly, they kept telling him he was s*** and kicked him out of the locker room and basically told him to f*** off and go somewhere else, don't care where.

Probably the best striker in the three relegated teams with the exception of Defoe. If you want to see a team that went down because of s*** strikers, look at Middlesborough. Bumfluff FFS.
