You cannot reflect fairly on these stats, a shot that just misses the goal could be a lot nearer to going in than one straight at the keeper!
Today's performance just showed how sacking Pardew was not a good idea.

I'm more disappointed that big Sam went.

Benteke is just a lump, sorry but i cant stand the bloke. He is lazy, can't control the ball, supposedly the best header in Europe (really) doesn't harry defenders as the 1st line of defence. At £32 million i would expect him to be all over the pitch and missing chances for fun. If he had been a £400k signing from Rochdale he would be banished to the reserves never to be seen again.

Unfortunately I'm really starting to agree with this viewpoint.

He missed a number of sitters against Huddersfield and he is SO lazy.

The fact that we WERE playing at Anfield today shows it was a good idea to sack Pardew!

What it did show was how far Liverpool have come in the last 4 seasons . After all it is their first win against us at Anfield in 4 seasons !

We looked tired and leggy at the back at the end I thought.

Punch needs dropping fast. Ward needs replacing.

PVA is better than we're seeing.

I'd rather see 3 midfielders centrally.

Milo had been replaced by Jimmy Mac when Sane scored albeit from 2 deflections. The culprits for our demise were Puncheon and Benteke. Our captain who has no pace and we carry and a striker who can't hit a cows arse from 7 yards.

Yeah, our 15 goal striker from last year would be banished to the reserves for failing to score in 2 games.

Our defense was pretty decent in the centre, but it's clear that Ward and Van Aanholt don't really understand the wig back positions.
Luckily McArthur doesn't seem to be totally out of favor.
We lack an incisive force, especially without Wilf, but even with him.

I think you might have lost all credibility here with that one

No, he had not. Luca’s heavy first touch, then defection off his shins created the chance for Mané.

Most certainly not European.

We need to sign players and asap for this formation we had a very very very very weak bench today that could make no impact we need to sign at the very minimum a keeper a rb / rwb and a midfielder and of course a striker that's 4 signings that must happen if we are to have any chance
