We are in the market for a better standard of player and their are so many things that make buying a player a ridiculously complicated business. I think we do ok in identifying potential targets from established players.

And don't forget the part agents play in this, touting their 'wares' to lots of clubs at once.

It does seem though, that FDB is only really knowledgeable on Dutch players.

My criticism would be about finding youngsters for the academy. Surely finding young talented footballers in south London should be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Except for the fact that Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs as well as QPR, Charlton, Orient and Millwall all operate there as well!

We were not 'in' for any of those, and Tony Pulis rejected Tom in 2014.

He was good for us in his first game as well. I think it was against Hull and he scored or got an assist. Couldn't get in the starting 11 after that.

Anyone who thinks that Tom Ince is the answer for palace is deluded. He may be an alright signing for Huddersfield but so was Sean Scannell.

Not being in for him or any of the above mentioned players doesn't make our scouting sh!te.

Who else have we missed due to our apparently rubbish scouting?

Mr Palaceman FYI Inces debut was against West Brom,in a 3-1 win.
And I heard on the radio yesterday that Sean has gone on a season long loan to Burton.

Thanks, I remember he got at least an assist in that game and looked good. Most fans were really happy to get him but then, pulis didn't start him again, if I remember rightly.

And of course we weren't interested after the loan finished.

The fact that we were not in and Pulis rejected one in 2014 is precisely why the system is sh!te

Let's hope the 3 Summer signings do as well as the 4 in January.

Tom ince is the most laughable suggestion. I've ever heard why won't we want a player that failed on loan 3 year ago.
