Im surprised he hasn't been injured sooner. He is so quick and agile that when he gets clattered he goes down hard. Probably why we soak the pitch so much to make it softer.

The answer to the question of course is "When pigs fly". The only way to deal with it is to have enough skilful and pacy players on the wings and coming forward from midfield that the defenders can't just single out the one they're most afraid of and kick the f***ing s*** out of him. We can't carry on allowing them to put two or three men on him. Townsend is good enough to give defenders something else to think about and Loftus-Cheek should be too. But we don't have a surplus of Wilf clones.

The answer is never. And Huddersfield doubled up on their objective to kick him out of the game by kicking him out of the next four games as well. Edited by peterg (16 Aug 2017 11.14am)

Simple fix. If/when wilf gets targeted, we set Luka on those kicking lumps out of him. Send the Serbian to murder em! That just means we need back up for luka, as this tactic will pick up a few cards. But, once he's put a few of their talented players on the injury list, they will start to think twice! Fight fire with fire!

Wilf will get protection WHEN he signs for Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City etc etc......all the time he plays for us he'll get nothing from any of our clown referees who can only see the big club players being fouled.....thought it may change when clattenf*** packed up but no its still there with Moss and his incompetent mates! PS Sorry willo!

Every time he's clattered. So he has every God damn right to moan. Absolute tosh, sorry. But some of them are legit tackles though, even if they are hard. Moaning relentlessly at every one will not endear him to the ref. He should just save it for the real fouls. He might get a bit more sympathy.

The fact that he moans and gets angry EVERYTIME he goes down, fair tackle or not doesn't help him.

Needs to cut out the moaning and leave it to the captain/manager to discuss with the referee. He definitely doesn't get the rub of the green at the moment. I used to defend him to the hilt but does go down too easily sometimes. Happened in the first half on Saturday, could have had a shot but decided to go down. That combined with whinging won't help his cause. The same happened to Ronaldo when he was young at Man United and everyone hated him for it. He'll need 6 months of good behaviour to get refs on his side
