The Holmesdale is my home being young and wanting to stand and sing and get away with swearing without worrying about having a bloody kid next to me have a soft spot for the Arthur though - it's proper Palace. Good memories of the few times I could go as a kid in that stand with all the sights and smells you associate with football

Arthur, in the third closest to the Holmesdale. Good view, good atmosphere.

Best days of the holmesdale were when the away fans were in the corner opposite us... The Arthur hasn't really picked up the mantle... Although atmosphere in the Arthur is better as a result.

Didn't get any requests but Stand and Deliver by Adam Ant was number one in the pop charts when I was born. It was good advice for my mother, the beds in May Day weren't particularly comfortable by all accounts. My best mates sister at that time was in the cast of that video, as she went to school in Tooting, and he phoned up all his classmates to star in the video shoot For the song on TOTP ... jOLLY NICE OF HIM ... sorry some of us are gOing on a bit HOLMESDALE near as I can get to the posts, just nostalgia being down there. Great memories of the Arthur as a kid but moved to Holmesdale later in life & that's fave now. Never been in the away end & only once in the Old Stand, vs Chelsea one freezing January day in the FA Cup when they cleared the snow off the pitch & piled it round the sides..early Seventies.

Holmesdale all the others need knocking down. Isn't the Holmesdale falling down ? I recall an article saying that it is often flooding in the basement area. Could it be a sign of a structural fault ? I hope not as there was a guggestion that we rebuild our other three stands using the same model and we would then have an imposing stadium.

It must have been the same person as it was a vile fart. A bit like burger, curry and a dodgy real ale.
