I struggle to believe FDB genuinely thinks it was 15 minutes of madness. As people have said, we weren't ever in the race. There was no understanding between the players. The look on their faces as another goal went in said it all. FDB commented that they were taken by surprise. Why was that? Even I could have told you they would press high and tackle hard. And when they did press our players blind panic set in; hence all the 'rabbit in the headlights' comments. I stayed to the end and clapped the boys off. There's nothing to be gained by slagging them off, but I am seriously worried.

It might almost be fair to say Huddersfield only truly dominated us for 15 minutes but there wasn't any point in the game where I thought we dominated them. PTJ is spot on. Wevwere second best to the tackle and simoly lacked energy and aggression compared to Huddersfield. It was embarrasing and reminded me of the performance last season against Sunderland. On reflection we did have 3 or 4 good chances and there were a few times in the match where you could,se how 3-4-3 could work. But the whole team looked like it was studying for its GCE's against a team that played with aggression and confidence and played us off the park.

That's a funny interpretation, to presume FDB and the team together have not seen all Huds pre season and talked through those videos in their warm ups as they would also have done ours is absurd. There is an earlier post that gives a link to the match stats. all the best!
