Your telling me that Burnley, Swansea and Newcastle have a bigger squad depth than us.

Regarding signings, Parish backs his managers and buys who they recommend. Big Sam wanted two left backs and Parsh sanctioned the deals. Whether you agree with them or not, the money was still spent.

Did none of you see the public document where the club took out a loan this year????

FdB was aware that this season would be about balancing the books and trying to take a different approach. Instead of throwing money at mercenaries like we have done previously.

Isn't this what happened at Sunderland with big Sam. Spent all their money, then left for England. Maybe we move on a Cabaye or mcarthur to give de Boer some room to strengthen. With wickham now out until 2018. FDB didn't have a single game changer on the bench.

I suppose the two left backs should work well as two wing backs? It's the right wing backs we have problems with. Our signings under Alardyce were better suited for four at the back. Perhaps this new system will work better once we have Cabaye and McArthur within it and also a goal keeper who can distribute better? We also need a forward in case of injury to Benteke? Still not sure on the new formation/system but I'm trying to be positive - just!

I can't believe we won't sign at least another striker but it's worrying that we are not being linked with anyone.

Not in this match, but he has done in the past. Perhaps you meant they didn't have any subs on the bench who changed the game vs Huddersfield?

The second half was marginally better than the first, to be fair. It was still sh*te, but it was a slightly improved class of sh*te. No matter who we'd had on the bench Saturday, it wouldn't have made any difference. What we needed was a plan B and we patently didn't have one.

So this supposed plan B is actually plan A and there is no other plan yet? Mustard. I hope I'm wrong about what's unfolding here or he drops any tactics that are going nowhere.

I wasn't convinced we had a Plan A. Unless Plan A was "play like s***e".

The loan that he club took out was an advance against the TV receipts and was a short term loan to get the TV money up front - I assume to buy players with

Parish said originally that spending would be limited to perhaps Sakho and one or two more. To my mind that equates to about 25-30 million

I'd suggest that, if our budget is this limited, we give up on Sarkho and go for Polish CB, Pazdan, at about £2m?, and fellow Pole, Skorupski, as GK on loan with a purchase option, leaving £15-20m? for Lucas Perez as a creative forward to support Benteke, cover for Zaha whilst he's injured and supplement Zaha when he returns.
