For sheer guts, determination and a willingness to sweat blood for your team and bring others into the game, it’s a no brainer and an embarrassing comparison!! Mark Bright would put his head where Benteke wouldn’t even put a foot in.

Bright and Wright. Benteke and...... That's the difference. Your comparing one man doing the whole job, alone. To another man who did 50% of the job, while someone else did the other 50%. So maybe.... just to be fair.... ask yourself.... Does benteke do 50% of a job? So Benteke must get twice as many chances , as they would all fall to him ?

That' not a serious question right? Benteke or Langley who is better?

In my view Bright was a better all round player than Wright , never stopped running and looking to get other player into the game . Unfortunately Big Ben does not do this so it's Bright for me .

Benteke is probably doing more like 60% of the job he is being tasked with and that's generous. Both players played in a team of 11 so neither did it all on their own.

Bright may not have had the effect he did if he was played as a lone striker. Try playing Benteke in a partnership, like Bright did. Then it would be fair to compare the two.

The answer should overwhelmingly be Benteke. On top form Benteke would probably blow Brighty away. Thing is we are just not seeing it anymore and certainly can’t rely on him anymore. Benteke should be the top,top striker we thought we and Liverpool paid all that money for. The two goals he has scored have dont nothing to get him out of this rut he’s in. I’d stick Brighty in the 11 now let alone back in his playing days. Edited by MonsterMunch (16 Feb 2018 11.00am)
