I also thought it was Ward that made the best tackle of the 1st half at least. Stopped a one on one situation it was a fantastic tackle. Very disappointed today with the performance as much as the result. Wilf was marked out of the game first half, there was no obvious plan B. Huddersfield just wanted the points so much more than us and that is hard to take. I mentioned that in my ratings, it was him that came from nowhere to dive over the ball for Hennessey to pick the ball out from under. He actually played better as a right wing back than last time I saw him try (that was Sunderland before anyone wonders how that's possible). I like the guy, I like him as a defender more though.

I'd not just get Sakho but ditch the idea of 3-4-3 until we have better options than Ward and Puncheon for their positions. Ward is out of position, Puncheon is out of his depth. JP looked good a couple of seasons or three ago in a team that barely played any kind of passing football. Only one who looked like he could control the ball, take his time to find a constructive pass. Now when he gets the ball in the 18 yard box he skys it's like he's never scored a goal in his life.

He used to play well as an attacking midfielder. Since AP had the brainwave of making him a defensive midfielder he's been s**t. Can't believe frank sees him not only as a DM but captain. ...

Oh for sure. There was a time when I lauded him as one of my favourite players on the pitch. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to find that form again.....how long can we wait though?

And to think he's joint with Benteke as our top premier league scorer in our squad! That FA cup final just seems to have kicked it out of him...

I gave him 4. Problem with that is, Puncheone's absence contributed to so many other problems that affected other people. Dann in particular looked so shaky on the ball, but every time he looked up for someone to pass to, Puncheon was nowhere to be seen. We badly missed Cabaye today.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Punch was better than: he got involved far more than these and his contribution was overall better.

Did Luka go off injured? That seemed like an odd sub otherwise

Luka certainly looked injured. I thought Huddersfield got away with a lot of fouls in the first 25 minutes or so and Milo was one victim. Bookings should have been given earlier. Having said that, they had the better of it and deserved to beat us. They spent £30+ million over the close-season so should not be underestimated. Cabaye could make a difference, as would a central defender and a R.W.B. A close-season for a month or so would be helpful.

I think he was shafted today, Fosu-Mensah shouldn't be playing RCB right now, particularly in his first game after 3 days training.
