Oh jesus. I think it was wishful thinking it was someone we could send back!

Afraid not. Our 2 loanees were probably our best players.

Lots of kiddies posting on here who want instant gratification without supporting a team that is in the process of applying a new way of playing. Maybe I used a wrong word there, 'support'. Booing a manager after one game tells much about the poor quality of support that the club has unfortunately attracted in recent times, many attempting to freeload only when success has been achieved.

Ok, list some positives for us

Definitely thought Loftus Cheek was our best performer. Townsend added some spark bit Huddersfield did to us what they did so well to Brighton last year. Stopped us playing. Brighton didn't have a plan B, neither did we today.

How long did it take Inter to sack him? Let's hope we wake up and smell the coffee MUCH sooner. Outplayed and pressed by a team that has just been promoted and just made play offs!
Mr. De Boer please go. Your style of football will NEVER work with the players we have and also in view of the fact that we have changed from a traditional 4-4-2 formation of hard working English football to tippy tappy football that does NOT suit.

We didn't even play 4-4-2 under Sam, genius. This is what happens when yer da tries talking football

If you listen to FdBs after match interview, he mentions we created the chances but didn't finish them. HT finished theirs. On another day it will be the other way around as we see in many matches we have played in the PL.

As I commented in the 'embarrassing' thread, the only thing embarrassing today were the so called 'supporters' today booing the new manager after one game. That is appalling and unacceptable, just like spoiled children who want everything without working for anything and expecting instant gratification.

I'd agree with this. If we get the players to play 3-4-3 then fine. If not, do t fvcking do it. But he will probably. Well successive losses and he'll be gone, but I don't want palace managers sacked because it means we're in the sh1t, so cut him some slack for a while please.

Some of the 50 and 60 year olds on here need to calm down and call for Frank to go a bit later rather than day 1 FFS. Listen to yourselves. That's embarrassing.

Having watched that first half horror show (we looked better second half)......

Ward has to be dropped from the first XI, despite his one brilliant goal saving tackle. Everything else he did was not good enough for this league.

Punch was Punch - one footed, willing, used the ball quite well, quite neat & tidy, woeful with a dead ball. Again, his contribution isn't good enough for this league.

RLC playing in the heart of midfield second half was the best player on the pitch. TFM didn't have a bad game and I still don't know how he caught their guy up for that goal saving tackle in the second half.

Huddersfield were organised, mistake-free and Mounie looked razor-sharp all game. Ref let them get away with murder in the first half, though.

You can blame the system if you want, but individual mistakes lost this game - how many times do we find ourselves saying that?

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

In his interview FdB thought we deserved at least a point, frightening, we got what we deserved absolutely nothing. He said he thought we dominated after that 15 minute spell where they scored two and could have had two more. Surely he realises that at 2-0 up they sat back and waited to pick us off on the break. Which they managed very well in scoring a third.

Yes mistakes cost games but Ward was targeted because he's not a RWB. Never will be. That contributed to his mistakes. We shouldn't be playing it with players who can't. Ward and Hennessey the stand outs.

Oh and 3-4-3 nearly had us 1-0 down after a few minutes when they played the ball at left back because they were instructed nobody would be there. They should've scored from 10 yards out. We were lucky.

There is currently issues with the system. It cannot be denied. Whether those issues or the system is changed we'll see. But something has to.

He has it the wrong way round. Up to 15 minutes we were going at them from all angles with about 7 players going at them. After that they stopped our midfielders turning with the ball and stopped PVA going wide. He went inside every time and it caused real problems. Ward was an obvious target we all predicted.
