As a bare minimum we need a goalkeeper who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and a young quick right wing back. Depending on how much we spend on a keeper and right wing back we also need a young mobile number 10 comfortable playing with the ball on the ground.

After yesterday's performance, everywhere, especially the manager. No idea tactically and no passion.

Would you really have preferred Sean Dyche to Frank ??
Think Frank will come good when he has fine tuned his systems and more good news, he has some good people around including like Sammy Lee.

I agree with gk. Fosu- Mensah could be the RWB, but then we would need a CB instead of playing Fosu-Mensah there. The obvious solution would seem to bring in Chambers who ('rumour hath it'!) we have already agreed a fee for? The problem is we have two rather good english CBs in Dann and Tomkins who seem to be struggling to adapt to the new system. Hopefully its just a question of giving them extra time to learn and adapt?

We clearly need a goalkeeper as we need 3 senior keepers.

I agree Fosu-Mensah is a good bet for RWB with RLC as backup. RCB We have a number who can play there Ward, Kelly and Tomkins. A lot of people thought Ward was poor on Saturday and he was certainly not great but he was asked to play a new position with no practice in that position in warm up games. He stopped one certain goal and in my view he is a better RCB than RWB. Reidewald had a shocker on Saturday and is our only LCB. I am not sure Kelly could play there without ruining his confidence like last season. I wonder if Schlupp could as an emegency. We need another CB hopefully left footed.

I like Puncheon but he is not performing and this is effecting team again we have options RLC Cabaye and Mcarthur.

We need another Striker possibly 2. Wilf was targeted on Saturday and will inevitably miss games and Benteke looked isolated for much of game

FDB was one of the best CB in world football and took Ajax to 4 titles, do you really think he has no tactical idea? Yes I think he was shocked by the "shift" Huddersfield put in, maybe that was naive but to say he has no techinal nouse is bordering on insane.

We need a RWB unless Fosu-Mensah is going to play there, and if that is the case then we need a couple of centre backs that can play on the ball.

If Cabaye stays then perhaps midfield isn't a problem, but we desperately need another centre forward.

As much as I wouldn't mind a new keeper, it's not as high a priority as the those mentioned above.

I take it you didn't see Burnley playing the champions off the park on Saturday then. The second goal they scored was pure class

With Zaha out for a month, let's hope Benteke doesn't gerpt injured, otherwise we are completely stuffed.

Let's keep the ball this season!

With Ajax losing tonight at home, they could get knocked out of Europe - in which case some of their talent might be available at decent prices.

We don't need talent, we need players that make an impact in the first team.

we probably have the worst defence in PL at this point in time. Unless SP gets moving we are in for a long hard and unsuccessful season that will result in relegation. Its no good kidding ourselves CB is not going to save us as he cannot score anywhere near enough goals to make up for goals that we will concede with this defence which will be at least 2/3per game. The writing was on the wall at the end of last season once Sakho got injured we were terrible losing at home to Burnley, Man Utd youngsters and torn apart by Man City, forget about the lucky wins we had at Liverpool and Chelsea that was down to more like the opposition having a bad day than any skill on our part. Allowing Huddersfield make us look like clowns was a stern warning to SP. We need to start winning at home if we are to stand any chance and that means new defenders PDQ
