Ask yourself this...do you ever wish we had signed Remy rather than loan him? I find the loan system works perfectly as long as you're not reliant on it. We have added two potentially class players that we might never have seen play in a Palace shirt otherwise. If these two lads go on to play for the United and Chelsea 1st team then I would imagine we all have fond memories of the season they were playing for Palace. Remember when Ashley Cole played for us on loan. He was so good we even played him down the wing. Sakho last season kept us up, for what, £2m loan fee...bargain! It seems to me like we have started to use the loan market to our benefit.

Well I'd rather we were loaned Bamford than signed him, same with that Arsenal feller. But Sahko - yeah its a shame he wasn't a buy. That Arsenal feller - Yaya Sanogo. Disaster!

It's a system that suits both clubs. It means we are playing a weakened team v Chelsea if RLC is a regular thats not fair on the other clubs. Loans should only be out of your league you are in.

Never been a fan of the loan system especially if they haven't got option to buy in them think its just making other teams players get games cause there never going to get in to the team of the top 6 like RLC and TSM at United and if they have good season aka sakho we won't be buying them aka sakho as he is now worth more than he was 6months ago get rid of the loan system in the premier league NOW

The suggestion there is a 'lack of funds' is rubbish. Truth is we had a deal in place for chambers but fosu-mensah has meant we can explore our primary target again (you know who). Plus we need a striker and they are priced at a premium. So actually, an 8m cb from Ajax with hopefully Sakho and a striker in place is great. That's where our efforts are going right now. We want a gk too but are not willing to break the bank there. If the board secure their targets come August 31st we will be very happy fans.

Some good points here but the fact is that loanees are not something you can build anything around. When a new manager comes in he is looking to start a series of seasons where we build a team in his image, and a system and style of play. Loanees can certainly help instill a system but when some call it a win win, you could say it’s a lose lose. If they turn out to be Bamford it’s a total waste of time. If they turn out to be Sakho you get some short term gains then you are dealt a big blow when they abruptly disappear and you cannot fill that immense void – think about Sakho last year, sure it was down to an injury, but if a loan player turns out be a massive success then when they inevitably disappear you are weakened, not strengthened. I am past the point of wanting to lurch from one relegation scrap to the next hell bent on survival at all costs, its time for our team to grow and FDB to build something here. And we cannot say “thank god we only loaned Sanogo” as we never would have signed half of those guys permanently. I agree with loans if we actually have a chance at buying the player but I don’t think that’s the case with RLC or TFM.
