The issue I can see moving them there is that you have now two potential flash-points between the fans, also two sterile areas separating the fans meaning less seats available and double the amount of stewards needed. Originally posted by Ian@lowertier
Can not for the life of me think why the club thought it was a good idea to move the away fans right next to the family stand, but this is Palace. Edited by Ian@lowertier (30 Mar 2018 9.00pm)

It was costing too much to police when the away fans were next to the HF. I'm not sure where else the club could move them too. Premier League rules now say seats must be provided at pitch level. WH is too small. Other end of the AW is a flash point. Same issues will occur if they move to the main stand. Can't put them in the Holmesdale upper.

Aggro and policing costs aside, the away fans would absolutely drown out the HF. They mostly all sing and there are about 2,500 of the blighters. The HF all sing but there are only about 100 of them. The acoustics in the AW are also far better than where the HF are located.

Not sure if this constitutes as 'giving it large', but the BHA fans certainly enjoyed throwing missiles, liquid and monkey gestures towards our supporters, security and Police, but I wonder if anything will be made of it!? 4:20 - 4:50

I couldn't see any missiles or hear any monkey gestures but it's very Cringe worthy, by pretty much all of them. Especially the old bald one who walks along the concrete only to get turned around by the command of the wettest looking steward I think I've ever seen.

At around 4:22 someone chucks what looks like coins which someone then tries to cover from the camera with their coat, then a bottle of something gets thrown, 4:43 guy in black t-shirt on the left doing some gestures, then 4:49 the guy in hoodie making obvious Monkey gestures.
