After a couple of months of not much action, I changed my profile picture to one of me sucking and inflatable phallus and put on my profile "if you want to know why I am sucking an inflatable manhood in my picture then you have to message me". You'd be amazed at how many responses I got. Two women called me a fag, the rest just thought I seemed amusing and played along. Probably represented me quite well as I don't take myself in the slightest bit seriously. A lot of the posers on dating profiles take themselves too seriously.

Definite swipe left any one doing that.
Seriously though did you know what you wanted from being on there?

Is swipe left a good or bad? I've never had any of those swipey apps, I pre-date that a bit.

Yeah I knew what I wanted. I am a bit traditional really and was on there to hopefully meet a future wife! Didn't put pressure on any of my dates though, I was more than willing to see how things played out and wasn't ultra intense like everyone was being interviewed as potential wife material. It was just the end game for me. All being well I wanted to meet a lady that I could end up living with (tick), marrying (tick) and eventually having kids with (not yet).

I say "traditional" in terms of wanting a normal life, but I appreciate dating websites may not seem particularly traditional. I used them because I am introverted and probably shy by modern standards. I don't drink so I don't go to pubs or clubs and even if I did I'd never approach a woman.

What a lot of waffle, but in short I was probably one of a small handful of chaps on there with honest intentions. I knew exactly what I wanted and wasn't just looking to get my balls wet.

It's almost certainly a better way to do things. If I had had more confidence I'd have tried to meet people in real life instead of online. I was lucky it played out well for me. It also helped that when I added her to Facebook after a while of talking, we had 12 mutual friends because she had been a member of the Croydon Roller Derby team and I knew a lot of them. Made her a bit less of an "online entity" given that we knew a lot of the same people.

You're a female, so you can go up to blokes and talk to them and not one of them will tell you to f**k off because men just like ladies talking to them.

Good luck in your mission. Just don't get downhearted when you find out a big percentage of blokes are knob heads, because not all of them are.

A few years back a chap probably in his late 60s, told me he had registered with such a site and uploaded a photograph of himself.

He informed me that if someone on there appeals to you, one had to register an interest with a 'Wink'.To be totally truthful he wasn't that pleasing on the eye (I am being kind !) but he still managed to attract a lady whom he saw for a short while before they parted company.

Actually any one I have ever liked or been out with has always started life as a friend first. Deactivate is the way forward. I seem to be a lone football loving fish in a sea of pouts, fake tan and hair extensions... Oh dear

He is resident in Spain so one suspects that the tan is a result of the "Sol" and NOT a result of any products used for a similar effect.

As for "Extensions", Simon's mane has got shorter over the years and not longer.Last time I saw him he looked very radiant and that wasn't too long ago.

Michaela doesn't seem that interested anyway.
