Ashley Cole started off as a striker but I am yet to be convinced he could be effective up front!

Whenever I have seen Schlupp up front or in forward positions he seemed to lack composure in front of goal.

Anyone seen Scott dann winning the shooting game on the training pitch last week. The video is on the eagles.members homepage and it's quality. He really is a goal machine.

Not a bad idea. Add Delaney up top and play 4-4-2

I have seen Damo score some excellent goals but possibly his legs have gone now.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Don't we still have Ladapo?

I think he is the most similar to Benteke in terms of style, although clearly nowhere near the level.

I've always been of the view that Mutch has potential as a forward.

Maybe Parish spent the rest of the transfer budget on a witch doctor to provide supernatural protection for Benteke until January

Have we seriously been reduced, in our consecutive fifth season in the PL, to scrabbling about trying to find a member of our squad that might have once shown the slightest spark, in training or years ago, of talent up front? Or alternatively we throw on the massively inexperienced Ladapo. Professionalism and Palace really don't belong in the same sentence.
