I didn't really count Joniesta as he's not really one of the kids. I worry that if he hasn't made it at a decent club like Ipswich then he's not likely to make it a step up at Palace.

I was under the impression Ipswich fans loved him, and that he'd made a decent impression. If it's the injury issue, skepticism is understandable. But when he's fit, I think he's done well.

Younger players did well, KIrby must be inspired by David Luiz

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

John Barnes made a good point about 3/4 of our team is decent basically can play possession game meaning our front 7 but the back 4 needs improving or coaching. If de Boer has a similar feelings expect our budget to be mostly spent on defence and goalkeeper.

Certainly the evidence is that all the players linked seem to be defenders, all rumoured seem to be reasonably priced too. He said he could get 5 players for the £30m we were going to spend on Sakho, still waiting ...
