To be fair, I do think that, at least to SP, it's become a lot more than that, but he's clever enough to know how far he can take it. As for the Americans, they'll take a decent return on they're investment anytime; it's what they're in it for.

There was talk of this around the last couple of games last season...at the time SP said he knew nothing of it...but this would suggest that even though for the moment nothing is happening that it's progressed to at least initial discussions.

On the face of it the Americans will not want to put any more money into the club as it costs too much, and they want to sell , but who but the Chinese will pay that much money for Palace. Looks like we will be in limbo for a long time. I hope not , but it looks that way to the untrained eye.

On the face of it the Americans will not want to put any more money into the club as it costs too much, and they want to sell , but who but the Chinese will pay that much money for Palace.
Looks like we will be in limbo for a long time.

The Ground requires large expenditure to get to a capacity that would make the club more sustainable; the yanks are only it for a fast buck; where would the cash come from apart from someone taking the yanks out. Some other yanks? possible. The point about China that Crazybadger makes is substantially correct. If not Chinese then only Arabs left with the sort of wealth required. Whatever happens its seems certain that we will be joining the foreign owned club brigade soon. How long then before we have to play a league game abroad?

He doesn't seem to mind how much they spend on London properties. Perhaps a new stadium with a hotel plus shopping mall and he'd wave it through? Plus the Russian mafia might just be the right calibre to make an offer they can't refuse to the NIMBYs around CPP
