I've seen it mentioned a few times that Riedewald can play in a holding midfield position but can he play there to Premiership standards? Don't forget that officially Ward can also play there too. I very much doubt whether Sako and Lee will be excluded from the squad unless they have been sold or loaned out

Need two teams, three goalkeepers and three strikers I think this is spot on. Maybe one of our other youngesters will break through, I don't see Williams making it with us. Also I'd love our new strikers to be Munri el haddadi & RVP And for us to sign Calum Chambers to upgrade Ward and push Kelly out. McArthur also to be sold. (Chambers) Dann (Martins Indi) Van Aanholt Milivojeic Cabaye Loftus-Cheek Zaha Benteke Townsend Ward Tomkins (Riedewald) Souaré Sako Kirby Puncheon Schlupp (Munri) (RVP) Other squad players: New Signings: Players to sell: Net spend: £40m Maybe all that is wishful thinking, but only other deal I'd go for is Sako out to fund a young quick winger to learn off Wilf and Andros. Although the limited videos I've watched of Munri I think he can play both on the wings and through the middle.

More likely he may end up going out on loan. At Delaney's age I doubt he would command a fee. Edited by rossboss29 (16 Jul 2017 9.20pm)

Damo will stick at the club for the year I'd have thought. In our out of the squad I'd imagine he'd be good to have at the club. Parish gave him another year as a thank you for the fantastic servant he's been to Palace, im almost certain he'll see out the 12 months at Palace. He's simply a legend!

I think most reasons as to why we kept Delaney have been touched upon (loyalty, willing to sit on bench, will know the team if injury crisis occurs) but I think there's one more. I can't imagine all the European clubs knowing the ins and outs of little old Palace. As devoted fans we know Delaney's slowly detiorated to 'not Prem standard' over the last season but before that he was first choice. There's a strong possibility we can bluff a 'well, we're half interested in your clubs centre back but we already have Dann, Delaney and Tomkins as top Prem defenders so you can take or leave our offer'. Of course really we have no intention of Delaney being a serious option but having him on the books with the amount of game time he's built up will at least stop clubs thinking we desperately need a defender and bending us over a barrel. I think we're gonna see the opposite affect in a month's time when Benteke is our only striker and every club suddenly says that if Palace want their substitute striker they'll have to pay 20 million. If Benteke gets injured in pre-season literally any striker we go for will have a 30 million price tag.
