He's not as good as Bolasie (no time for anyone who says differently) but we still need him. As long as he keeps up the work rate it'd be tough to replace him, would be needless to sell him.

He's a better all round player than Bolasie.

Fought back and won the ball on the break when we were left wide open at the back twice in 2 mins against some team( at home, can someone help me here?)towards the end of the season. Watching it live was something to behold. I just can't remember who it was against. 😬

That was home vs leicester, 2-2 draw- and yes it was effin epic

I like Townsend, trouble is he blows hot and cold far too much for a premiership player. If we can get 20m we should take it and look at Oliver Burke or Demerai Gray

What other options will we have up front? If we're getting a proper #10, then there's no room for both Wilf and Andros in the starting XI if FdB plays the 4-3-3 he's reported to prefer.

Not sure where a #10 fits into a classic Dutch 4-3-3 unless they are a more rounded midfielder who pushes up when in possession.

I think both Wilf and Andros would thrive playing a bit closer to Tekkers and nearer the penalty box than the wings. We actually need to get another wide player for backup (unless we're going to run with Kai Kai and whichever one of PVA or Schlupp isn't at LB.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Andros going nowhere, he's an integral part of the team. Don't think Steve and Frank would let that happen...

I'd be amazed if he left Palace, he's been a Palace player for longer than he was at Newcastle so don't really understand the "come home andros "s*** being spouted by the geordies.
Andros Zaha and Benteke are probably the first 3 names on the team sheet. It really f***s me off the deluded geordies thinking that he will want to go there now they are back in the premier league.
They were a big club once, not now. A big stadium means f*** all, they have the worst owner, s*** fans that have a deluded sense of entitlement, a s*** squad of championship players and a manager who's reportedly going to walk.

Surely they wouldn't have put a release clause in his contract, for the same amount that we signed him for ? Would be ludicrous.

I doubt it, but if we have then we need to reconsider who deals with contacts in future.

I think Newcastle will struggle next season, not sure he would fancy it. Not to say we won't be struggling too, but we have the foundations now to press on, just got to keep the players injury free.

It was amazing. I was actually in awe. The fight and passion he showed to chase the player down and take the ball from him was incredible. Never saw Bolaise do that.

On his day he's mustard ... just like others in the team he needs to be more consistent. Hopefully, he's going nowhere.
