Saw him play for Preston on TV but cannot recall the opponents.
At Preston he was signed by Simon Grayson, now the new manager of Sunderland.Maybe Grayson is interested in signing him to replace Pickford ?

At Doncaster he played for Paul Dickov.Another player in the side was another Dickov signing, Dean Furman who played for him at Oldham.At the time, Sam Johnstone was working hard on his distribution which of course is very important these days.Seem to recall that Johnstone is right-footed.

I think it was 3 or 4 years ago when I saw him play and he was very young and in Man Utd's Development Squad.Seemed OK to me - he might have developed his game since then.
