While I agree that ward need competition for his place. Fans are happy to give Williams chance after chance. I respect ward has not been fantastic last season. A 400k player the amount of service he's given the club deserves respect.

I think current market prices are disgustingly high but Sakho was a must for me. Maybe his wages were too high and he is prepared to keep the bench warm and the bank manager happy rather than take a drop. As for Delaney he's going nowhere because, for the same reason he's been kept around thus far, every team needs that brute of an enforcer player. There are games and line ups we'll play where sticking him on will be far more beneficial than somebody who can make cute passes.

Love t see a statistic on this, because it doesn't feel the case to me. Like many, I feel he gets singled out unfairly, when in fact he normally puts in a really decent shift.
