I would predict that Ward will be back up to him very soon. Originally posted by Petereagle
There are now a couple of rumours supporting Palace interest in Tete. Would be great to give at the very least strong competition to Ward

Forget about Zoet, he is no upgrade on Wayne at all and if you want a Dutch goalie offload Stekelenburg from Everton. He has more talent in his left pink then Zoet in both hands! Would be interesting to see if v Ginkel could cut it. No surprise he failed at Chelski but did not set the world alight when at Stoke either did he. he is class when you see him in the Dutch league, but pace is so much lower there it would be a big question mark. I realise I sound rather cynical about my fellow countrymen but I really hope Veltman will not come to us. Too errant prone and would not be sure he could cope with the physicality of the game in the PL. As for Riedewald, I just cannot see rumors about Chelski being true other then him being a a potential profit maker after loaning out. He has never hold a regular place in the Ajax defense and though that also counts for Tete I think he is far less suitable for English football then the latter. And unless the boys are at the end of their contracts forget about getting promising players on the cheap overhere. They see the ridiculous fees for very average players too and will up their market price accordingly. Though its seems that Karsdorp went to Roma for 17m euro's. Would have liked to see him with us. There are some interesting names being banded around RB Tete I have seen as a suggestion, completely agree he would be a great signing, perhaps we could intercept Karsdorp to Roma move? At CB I see that Chelski are interested in Riedewald but the young man must realise that he probably wouldn't get a game. Also we could look at St Juste that Pool seem to be interested in. How about van Ginkel that PSV seem to want to sign following the loan from Chelski? Its going to be as interesting a summer as the last one was, Frank is ready to spend Parrot

Parrot:money cannot buy you everything, especially as it is relative. There is no chance whatsoever the likes of Dolberg or Sanchez will come to us. We simply are a smallish club who happens to be lucky with an extortionate amount of (TV)money but that does not mean we can attract potential European top players. Originally posted by MrCParrot
Did you see Jim Daly's article? Tete, 21 RB but can play anywhere in defence (like Kelly - except LB obv!) - £3m bid by Galatasaray but Tete didn't want to play in Turkey Davinson Sanchez, 21 CB had a poor final but good enough to be linked with a move to Barca et al (he's Colombian) Dolberg, 19 Striker scored 23 times last season - £20 and we would face stiff competition from the usual suspects. Younes, CAM Winger would slot in well with Wilf and Andros - £20m might sound a lot for this German but could be a bargain Onana, 21 GK least likely signing but worth a mention even though he's from Cameroon ANyway, thought I'd share, read the article if you can Parrot

It reminds me of that Blackadder when the French revolution is on, London is full of deposed aristocrats, and everyone's talking French, wearing French clothes and ordering frogs' legs in Mrs Miggins' Pie Shoppe. Chips and mayo have been added to the Selhurst catering

I'm all for finding bargains but let's not kid ourselves into thinking that all the players in the erdedvise are better than our current squad. The erdedvise, like liga nos is like a development league. There's talent there but for me would be a nightmare scenario if we bought say 6 players from holland. Holland didn't even qualify for the euros in 2016. Let's not make it our only source of players. If big Sam was in charge would we even consider these players. I highly doubt it.

I would be hesitant at the least. He does have the name to difficult here too but i that respect the deciding factor for me would be that de Boer knows him very well from his time as assistant manager at the Dutch national team. If he would think him suitable then he may able to do a job for us but I would spent the money on someone younger. Originally posted by MrCParrot

I can't imagine we'll be signing many Dutch players in this window although I'm sure 2-3 might join. I'll be hugely surprised and disappointed if that's the only players FdB knows about. I read somewhere that two years ago Tom Carroll was close to a loan move to Ajax to join up with FdB. He's turned out to be a fantastic £4.5m signing for Swansea, bags of talent.. Point being, I think and hope FdB will bring his type of young players to the club but they won't all be Dutch.

There's no point flooding our team with players of potential from holland. There's plenty of talent outside holland.
