You just did. These are commercial operations. The bias is far easier to take when you have a choice in whether you fund it or not.

About the only political output that the BBC gets right....That I can regularly stomach is the 'daily politics' and 'this week'. This doesn't change my criticisms that are inherent of the BBC though. It needs to filter those it employs to politically and class-wise reflect the nation rather than the metropolitan middle class elite. After it does that....then stick to the principles of neutrality as best you can. Either that or have programs that are meant for and fronted by all three shades.....the right....the neutral....the left. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 Jun 2017 12.37pm)

I think it is correct that the BBC reflect the political landscape as Stirling says as it seems to offend the sensitive Right that they may be a tad left of centre. As long as The Sun, The Express, The Mail, Sky, The Spectator, The Telegraph and the rest do the same.

As long as The Sun, The Express, The Mail, Sky, The Spectator, The Telegraph and the rest do the same. These are commercial products. It's not the same thing. The BBC is funded by public mandated subscription. You really have to forgo television to avoid paying for it. There are left wing rags and papers like the Mirror and Guardian. The fact that they aren't as numerous is a reflection of the country. The BBC shouldn't be left nor right....it should represent both views and none. Unfortunately due to its employment policies it is basically a form of New Labour....That's fine as one viewpoint...but really it should allow all viewpoints to come through. Either that or stop doing opinion and just report facts as best you can.....But I don't think that's a realistic requirement for any broadcaster so instead I think it has to do a far better job of representing the political landscape.
