At last, let's hope common sense prevails. I purchased my ST in block C holmesdale lower as I know it's an unofficial standing block, 99% of away games the away support stands. Personally sitting at games destroys the whole match day experience, way to sterile. I grew up whatching games on the Holmesdale terrace then progressed to the AW lower terrace area let's hope we can get those sections standing again. There are no issues, it works in Germany and across Europe. Just make sure Willo can buy his seat and everybody is happy.

I wouldn't get too excited. There's no chance that any government any time soon is going to take a risk of a major disaster at a football stadium. It's not going to happen. There's isn't a political party currently that isn't risk-averse. The PL couldn't have chosen a worse time to start banging this particular drum. How come Celtic have already got it then?

How come Celtic have already got it then? Good question. I googled it as was interested. The 1989 football supporters act which banned standing doesn't apply to Scotland. I can't find the reason why at the moment. The Scottish premier league made it a rule seperately but got rid of the rule in 2011.

That says a lot Willo no one would expect people to be standing around you during a game but you surly can agree that having the HF and the like standing and creating an atmosphere for all present improves your match day experience. I can also understand away games can be problematic but my advice would be get as near the front as possible if you can't stand it

Because supporters who flaunt the rules are darned inconsiderate to fellow fans who have paid hard earned money for their seat and wish to actually SIT and watch the game. And what makes by " blood boil" is that damn all is done to confront those who stand throughout the game. Think it best I don't get embroiled in this debate as it will do NOTHING for my blood-pressure and my views on this subject have been well and truly documented on HOL.
But hes actually saying that if theres a standing section...everyone standing in front of you will move...allowing you to stay on your arse...
