McDonnell has repeatedly asked (via Twitter) for demonstrations to remain peaceful.

He has also chosen to speak to the self-styled "People's Daily", the Morning Star, organ of the Communist Party of Britain (they have dropped the 'Great' of course). In his tirade against democratic Great Britain, McDonnel said "I don’t think this government is a legitimate government ... It hasn’t got an overall majority. The deals it’s doing with the DUP — we’ve still not seen what that deal is, but again it’s backroom deals which I think is unconstitutional and undemocratic."
Mobs on the streets are no doubt far more constitutional and democratic.

Yet, it would of been a legitimate government if Labour organised a deal with the Lib Dens, SNP, Greens and Sinn Fein.

I wonder if Russell Brand will be there.

What a 'Labour' party who polled less than 1 Mill less than the Conservatives and who have nearly 60 less MPs ?
One would think they had actually won this election for heavens sake !

Nick

It was McDonnell that immediately after the election called for protests on the street of Britain

It is called Day of Rage, we both know the definition of Rage

He has previously praised rioters including the student riots at Millbank calling it "the best of our movement" He has plenty of previous, a few tweets won't change that

If it is in the name of Corbyn, Nick will be on those streets chasing May away from Grenfell Fire victims.

The Actual victims.

I can't stand Corbyn, but the contempt I hold for him, Abbott, Thornberry etc is as nothing compared to how much of a c*nt John McDonnell is. He's a truly nasty piece of work. He's an anarchist, all he wants is pure chaos for the country. He is the politician's equivalent of those morons who walked around rioting in balaclavas a few years ago. I am genuinely baffled that anyone could vote for a party where he'd be Shadow Chancellor.

Do you know me?
Here we go. Let's say stupid things about Hansy who will no doubt be cheering on as another right wing nutter ploughs into a crowd of peaceful worshippers.

Listen pal if you want to join the bandwagon of those using me as a pincushion rather than examining their own view of the world because it's easier and less uncomfortable, that's up to you.

Personally I think it shows the maturity of a five year old.

The day of rage demo (how ironic that the mail are moaning about rage when whipping it up is their raisin d'etre) is nothing to do with the Labour party.

It's also ironic that those who say they are not fascistic want to prevent the democratic right to demonstrate.

Democratic process includes peaceful demonstration.

Which successive governments have ignored, and done their utmost to restrict, marginalise and destroy.

If government pays no attention to peaceful protests, the civil disobedience is called for. Violence for its own sake, I can't abide, but if the people are angry, and the government isn't listening, its the responsibility of the people, in a democracy, to make the government listen.

You can't just trust in politicians to make democracy work, the ultimate responsibility for the effectiveness of democracy lies with the people - Its not about casting a vote every 1800 days or so.

Peaceful protests are a gift to government, because it relieves the people of anger, and allows them to just ignore the people.

Remember the huge protest against the invasion of Iraq, and how the government responded to the will of the people.

Look at the public support for allowance of access to euthanasia, and how the government voted.

If they're not listening, then the people have to make them listen.

Election maths:

over 54% voted for parties who wanted to end Tory austerity. What do we have... more Tory austerity.

The will of the people is used merely to justify the political whims of politicians. Remember that's a larger percentage than that which vote for Breixt and that's been held up as a cast iron, non-alterable instruction to leave the EU.

I will be livid if the Tories don't drop their austerity plans completely as they have no mandate to do anything else. To protest that the will of the people, as democratically expressed in this election, is not being carried out is right and just and totally democratic. In the same vein I would support Brexiteers right to similar peaceful protest should Brexit be reversed without democratic consultation.

Well students have finished at Uni' for the year so there will be plenty of naive twenty year olds to join up with the Commies and union stooges to hold hands and break a few windows.

The whole thing is a laughable and slightly sinister attempt by Labour to take advantage of the 'youthquake'.

Meanwhile all the governments plans to manage the deficit and plan for health care will go out of the window and be replaced by 'compromise'.

Sometimes you have to pinch yourself to make sure this stuff is real.
