We already have wingers in Zaha and Townsend and both PVA and Schlupp can be deployed out wide on the left if necessary so not a priority I would have thought.

From my perspective wingers Demarai Gray, Scott Sinclair and Patrick Roberts would prove more effective.

Man, he was very very young when he was at Palace. Are you judging him because he didn't rock the PL at 20 years old?

He's been the best winger in the Championship in the past 3 years, the most constant player (even Derby has had its ups and down)

Definitely a 25-30 million player if assists were valued as much as goals

22 assists in 153 appearances. An assist every 9 hours played across his career; in the last season, it's an assist every 10 hours played.

Hardly prolific then!

Why someone think he is worth £25m because his name is Ince. Not good enough for the Premier.

Birmingham seem to be quite good at producing quality wingers so perhaps we should have a closer look to see if anyone is following Nathan Redmond and Demarai Gray

Birmingham have a lad called 'Viv Solomon-Otabor' who is a winger.Certainly quick and has too good feet but sometimes lacks that composure and can be erratic, however this might come in time.Think he is 21.

That's what my Birmingham season ticket holding neighbour said about Redmond and Gray sp perhaps he might be the next gem off the wingers production line

Come on Keown, at least make it a challenge

I'm sure that had I read this article I would have mentioned that he was on our books as a youngster - I had no idea this was the case and thought that he came through the ranks at Birmingham.

I talked to someone when Gray left for Leicester and he brought up Solomon-Otabor and mentioned things about him which he knew about obviously. This person wasn't 'Martin Keown' ! - but he used to be a defender.

I wanted Redmond when we first came up and I think he only went to Norwich for a couple of million. Think he's worth a lot more now. I remember him tearing us a new one at Selhurst in that 4-0 defeat just before we were promoted.

If I'm not mistaken I think it was £2 Mill but there were add-ons.
I've heard that Redmond is a Birmingham fan but his mother supports A.Villa !

Yeah, probably true, but not sure what the addons were. Probably not a vast amount. Point being, he was available for Premier League pocket money at one point.

Yes indeed.
Chris Hughton signed him for Norwich.
